Altered Journal & Notebooks

I suggested to Miriam & Amelia last year to have an altered journal swap, just right after they attended my SB101. They immediately agreed & we picked names. These ladies are always up for fun!! I got Miriam's name and this was what I created for her...

Here's the before...

Taa daa....

I misted the prima flower & distressed a little gold ink on it :)

The design of this altered journal was from Aida's class. She taught us to make a fabric album, I was too lazy to make one in the class. Hee hee. So I thought it would be a great idea for an altered journal. I gave it a little twist by using vintage music sheets as my base and applied crackle paint & distressed the edges to give an interesting look. Thanks Aida for the inspiration! Oh yeah, thanks for the die-cut butterflies too :)

And I got this elegant altered journal from Amelia. She just started to scrapbook and she is able to create an altered journal, isn't she amazing? Thanks dear!!

So I wanted to create more of the same design and I did. I made these pretty altered notebooks for my dearest church friends from scratch with the help of Zutter machine. What a perfect customized Christmas gifts!!

Hmm... just wondering if anyone is up for an altered notebook swap? If yes, we can have a swap. BTW, if there are a couple of us, we can have group swap. What say you? :)

p/s: Helen, guess what... that one little boy in my class did not save any tears & decided burst them out when the Principal brought him to my class... LOL!!

Xoxo Jessy

Wow I like your altered art. Malaysia was the best place for our honeymoon as the people were so friendly. Where do you get your stash from though? They didn't have much over there I didn't think. Do you buy online?
Thanks for visiting my blog. x

Hahaha - that is hilarious! So sorry Jessy...I loved Aida's work at the Cocoa Daisy crop - you lot are all so hyper talented & before I had a blog I had no idea that scrapbooking even existed there - let alone that you girls set the trends LOL! I would simply LOVE to do an altered journal swap with you but it must be only with you because I want one of your journals hee hee...they are absolutely stunning Jessy. Don't worry if you don't want to do it with people so far away - I have never sent or received anything from there before so postage may be prohibitive. Love yours though - completely rocking!
