SIL Second Anniversary Blog Hop - Challenge No.6

Yes, you are at the right spot! This is SIL Anniversary Blog Hop Challenge no.6 and today I am going to show you a handmade folded flower tutorial. Hint: It will be useful for this challenge :)

Here we go...

Punch/cut several circles. I used the 2" circle. For this handmade flower, I would advise you to choose double sided patterned paper.

First, fold the circle into half.

Open it and create a diagonal right fold.

Repeat it on the left and you'll get something like the above photo.

Use one circle as a base and adhere all the "petals" to form a flower.

Here's what you get... a pretty folded flower!

I added another smaller circle to create the centre.

Ta daa... here's the end result!

Here's another sample using smaller circle...

For the flower on this card, I used 1.5" circles. The smaller the circle, the smaller flower you'll get.

The Challenge:
1) To create a card using the folded flower tutorial. You can create any size for the card & also use any amount of the folded flowers.
2) The card that you submit for the challenge is ONLY made exclusively for the SIL challenge.
3) All entries must be received before or on the 13th May, 2011 (Malaysian time)

The RAK:
Studio Calico kit - Lollipop

Hope to see your card with the folded flower soon!
Xoxo Jessy

What a great way to combine a tutorial with a challenge to let your viewer practice the tutorial =D I submitted an entry! I had so much fun making the flower. It's like using both sides of pattern paper in one embellishment ((:
