Freedom Altered Frame

Hey creative people! It's that time again to share with you what I have created using the fabulous products by Donna Salazar Designs :)

Photobucket
This time round I did an altered project using the American flag colors as my inspiration. But as you can see the colors are slightly different because I wanted a vintage touch to the colors. Donna's papers are perfect for this altered project! Let me show you how I created some of the elements :)

Here we go...

Photobucket
To create the paper rosettes, I used the Crafty Chronicle paper as my base. I wanted to add colors so all I did was to dab the Clearsnap ink onto it, just like the photo above.

Photobucket
I continued on with other ink colors.

Photobucket
To create this paper rosettes, I used Tim Holtz Alterations die but if you want to create them from scratch, you can refer to my fellow co-DT, Kim's tutorial :)

Now, let's move on with other techniques...
Photobucket
To color the artistic paper, first I spritz the Smooch (Green Olive) onto the acrylic block.

Photobucket
Then, get the brush and start to fill up the image with the Smooch color.

Photobucket
Here I used the same way to color my next image but this time instead of Smooch Spritz, I used the Clearsnap Ink.

Photobucket
I just dabbed and brushed the ink across the artistic paper. For the wings, I used glue gloss and the awesome Fairy Dust Glitter!!

Here's the look of the altered frame again...
