Bloom & Grow

Hello there everyone!! It's so nice to be back here. I was thrilled to be designing for Donna Salazar for another term 2012-2013 (wow, tq!) and also so glad to have so many new team mates on board.

It's that time of the year again to celebrate spring - birds chirping, butterflies flutter, flowers bloom, cheerful colors and many more. And what better way to do it with the ever so pretty collection called "Spring In Bloom".  Let me show you what I have created...

For this layout, I got the inspiration from this song called "Edelweiss". Yes, the song from the Sound Of Music. I love that movie so much. In the lyrics there's one line that really caught my attention... Bloom & Grow. It's funny how a song can inspire you to create *wink*

------------------------------
Scrappy info...

1. First I mask the doily using the Smooch Spritz at the upper left and bottom right just right in the middle of the layout.

2. Next, I layer the papers just right on top of the masked layout. I also pleated the denim paper to give
texture. Then I sew all around the layout.

3. Then, I blend the Mix's Media ink onto the background paper to add color and of course did some fun dripping using the Smooch Spritz.

4.. Die cut the butterflies and I also did some light masking with pencil to fill the background.

5. Lastly all you need to do is to do the title, arrange the die cuts and paste everything down.

nice Jessy love this page so beautiful and great colour combo. the machine stitching is nice...I think your bottom bobbin is not properly fixed that is why your black thread kind of not nicely sewn. But that doesn't matter...perfect anyway. I want to see more...
