About two
weeks ago, Sasha Farina tagged me to be in this special 'blog hop' and I couldn't be more
pleased to play along! How can you say 'NO' to your favourite scrapper?! Sasha has been a favourite of mine for the longest time. Her style is gorgeous and very tasteful. She is excellent with colors. And I love her journaling. Straightforward, thoughtful and meaningful. For me, her signature style is stitching on her layouts. She can stitch so fast. When I mention stitching, we ain't talking about the simple straight line. She does the hard ones ok?! She is pretty hardcore. That's why I love her even more. Haha. Check her out and you'll know what I mean!
So here are some questions I got to answer in the 'blog tour' series...
1. What
am I working on right now?
Well, I
have been working on a 'secret assignment' that it will be revealed soon! I have
also started on my project life that I stopped early of the year.
Finally,
when I was going through my PL album last week, I decided to give it
a try again. This time it will be simple & clean, easy on the
embellishments. Let each photo speaks. I'm so thankful for this app called
Collect. It allows me to input photos & journaling on daily
basis. Will share my full PL spreads soon!
2. How
long does it take me to create a project?
Back then
(before Katelynn), I would probably spend about 1.5 hours or more to
complete my layouts. Some more than a day! Since she entered into my life, I got to scrap as fast as
I can. It can be as little as thirty minutes or prob an hour + the most. I
tried my best not to bring forward any of my layouts more than a day!
Usually, I will get it done before the day ends. That's my personal rule!
3. What
are my favorite things to create with at the moment?
. White
cardstock
. Gelatos
. Mist
.
Chipboard shapes
. Vellum
shapes
. Wood
veneers
. Patterned papers (of course)
4. How
does my writing/creating process work?
Let's
talk about creating process. First, I have to clear my scrapping
table before I start a new layout. Better focus that way. A cluttered table
can't help me think sometimes! I spend a lot of my
time visualising in my head, simply because I do not have vast
freedom to linger around with my papers and embellishments. My time
is pretty limited as a SAHM with a toddler. When I get an idea, I will try to
imagine/sketch it in my head before I begin. I will gather everything and make
it work. A photo helps me start too, somehow it will spark ideas to me. I like to work in advance when I have assignments. One more
thing, I need to listen to music when I create. It keeps me calm.
5. How do
I become inspired and stay inspired?
As far as what inspires me creatively… fashion, weather, photos,
things around in the house and lots more! And of course, Pinterest! Basically, I get inspiration from
lots of places! Whenever I see some interesting design/pattern, I will start
to visualise it on my layouts. Paying attention on little
details help me stay inspired too! And yes, Katelynn is my biggest muse too!
6. What
is my signature style?
This was what Sasha has to say about my style...
"Jessy Jessy Jessy - kind,
encouraging, sweet and such a fun scrapper! I feel like she's such an asset to
our scrapbooking industry. If you're into colors and whimsical style layouts,
you will definitely love her.
"
Isn't she the sweetest? I'm flattered *blushing*. Love her to
bits!

Monday (August 18th), the 'blog tour' continues with these super talented ladies.
Trust me,
they all have magic touches . . .
I have
always been a BIG fan of Debee's creativity. I started to follow her
during her scrapbooking era till I found her again on Instagram last year. So
grateful that she is still contributing to the paper world. I
absolutely love how she thinks, in design wise. How she puts everything
together, effortlessly! She is so good with mixing bright & bold colours/patterns. She is now
designing paper products, stamps and beautiful packaging for her Etsy shop
called 'Inspire Lovely'. You should check her Project Life spreads too. They
are just so beautiful! If you are a fan of succulents, you should check her out even more!
This lady
is genius. She thinks of designs in such beautiful & unique way.
Always adore her scrapbooking/cardmaking ideas. Always thinks out of the
box! Playing with colours is her forte too! She creates the
most meticulous layout each time. She can make any themed collection look fun
& pretty at the same time, easy to the eyes. Her eyes for details is
out of the world! I really enjoy her tutorials. So glad & proud
to be in the same design team with her!
I only
discover about this talented lady recently. I love her simple & clean, airy & soft looking layouts. Layouts like hers "less is
more" are not easy to create. She understands the word 'balance' &
'classy' so well. You can see them throughout her creations. Another
lady who understands colours very well. She is really good with soft,
pastel and monochromatic colours.
To celebrate me starting project life again, I am doing a giveaway. You'll receive Project Life cards and some embellishments (not all are photographed here). Open to everyone around the globe!
So all you have to do is to leave a comment below by Thursday, August 14 at 11:59 p.m. (GMT +8). I'll randomly pick one winner. Be sure that I can contact you via your blog or email. All the best!
Thank you for coming by!
Xoxo Jessy

I follow your Instagram and I love your layouts. I use them as inspiration when creating my own. I am the same as you when it comes to style - i either haven't quite found it, or it changes by season! At any route, I love your work! Congratulations on your work and balance!
I like your layouts and there is a style I would say, the difficulty is , more how to describe it. I follow you on pinterest and blogspot, and when I see a layout from you 1st on pinterest in most times I would identify it as yours. And I am surprised by your speed, 30 min for a layout. Wow.
Cheers from Germany,
Eva
